for hours as he bloviates and lies is really weird, as Garrett Graff just noted on bluesky. Some of them have important jobs. It's bizarre.

But I think it does serve an important purpose. It is propaganda for the low information voter. They don't know he's lying, and they don't know what he's talking about. But they see important looking white dudes standing around behind him, guffawing at his "jokes" and nodding at everything he says. So subliminally, it sends the message that he is likeable and interesting and telling the truth.

Sad, but I think there are significant numbers of people who fall for this.

From the clips I saw on tv we didn't hear him talking to them or congratulating them. He said something about the NASA guy's big ears, and talked about himself... and that's what the msm went with.
