I can relate. My Mom wasn't like the tsf, but she she was a very unhappy person, and took it out on Dad, my sister, and I. Her father was a very cruel man, and physically beat and verbally abused all eight of his children. Mom never beat me but a lot of what she said to me, cut deep. My therapists and Doctors all wanted to speak with her in person, but she refused. One of my therapists did call her to give recommendations about me, like letting me get another dog, when our previous one had passed, and my mother was reluctant to do so. My Mom relented. She refused family counseling, however, because she didn't want to be told, my issues were all her fault.

47. I think of it more as a reflection on Trump that it's so easy to believe he'd re-tweet something like this.

The reason so many of us were able to take this at face value at first is that it's 100% in character for him. I think that says as much about him as it does about those of us who were so quick to buy in.

He's said, done, and posted a million things I never could have imagined a US president saying, doing, or posting before he came along. This particular image was only a baby step more outrageous than the one of him healing the sick that we know he tweeted a couple of weeks ago. This was believable only because HE has already established such a strong record of craziness.

I can see now that I should not have been so quick to buy in and will try to be more careful in the future. But I fully expect him to do more things this crazy, if not crazier, before it's all said and done.
