Police investigating ‘active shooter’ report at Islamic Center of San Diego

San Diego police are investigating the report of a shooting at an Islamic center in Clairemont on Monday morning, officials said.

Police said they got a report of an active shooter at the Islamic Center of San Diego on Eckstrom Avenue around 11:40 a.m.

Few details were immediately available.

The department posted on X about the incident, asking residents to avoid the area.

9. Spouse has a friend living in the area.

There's an elementary school down the street from the Mosque center that had to evacuated; locals are saying three people are dead, and the shooters were two teens or very young people.
