The chyron leading into the story said: Trump's "Anti-weaponization" Fund Faces Bipartisan Criticism. Then Dana Bash, looking very stern, said "There are so many unanswered questions and deep concerns about the unprecedented nearly 1.8 billion dollar pot of money the President plans to dole out to those he calls victimized by the federal government."
Pretty, good calling it a pot of money, but slush fund is better. They also showed a graphic with all the trump cronies, including Jan. 6ers who could be up for money, and a pretty negative quote from John Thune who is signaling disapproval of this idea. As with most of these things, congress can stop this and they need to do so now.

(15,876 posts)His weaponization of the DOJ against perceived political enemies is unprecedented. None of his cases are sticking, because they are without merit.
On the other hand, the J6 insurrectionists were found guilty for ACTUAL CRIMES.
