Vance says Hunter Biden is "welcome to apply" for a slice of Rapin' Slush Fund Grampy's cash

KARL: Why should taxpayers be paying to settle a $10b lawsuit brought by the president? And should people who attacked police officers received money?

JD VANCE: Anybody can apply for it. If Hunter Biden wants to apply, he's welcome to.

...I took it as a worst case, least likely to get a thumbs up from a Trump-appointed "board" or "committee" reviewing the claims.

That seems in alignment with other Vance "jokes" from the past.

The case was dismissed with prejudice, and the court explicitly said there was no settlement. Pp0

They need to find some other legal justification for the fund, or it needs to vanish.

Justice matters.

It's like robbing a bank and proclaiming it's legal. Doesn't work like that.

Not to mention all the US citizens and legal residents who were kidnapped and wrongfully detained by ICE. They were harmed by the government, too. They can apply, but you can bet they wouldn't see a dime. Of course the slush fund is illegal in the first place, and if there's a shred of justice left in this country it will never exist at all.

today. He is off by a day. He and Isha eat at a restaurant 5 minutes from the mosque. So he made it a personal story. But he was off by a day.
