FL-GOV: Former Howard Dean campaign manager Joe Trippi joins David Jolly campaign

David Jolly is adding more troops to his campaign.

The Democratic gubernatorial candidate announced Tuesday that he is bringing on three new people to his senior leadership team: nationally known strategist Joe Trippi, public policy adviser Kimberly G. Jackson, and longtime Miami-Dade Democratic strategist Christian Ulvert.

Trippi, 69, has worked in national Democratic politics for more than four decades, including with Ted Kennedy, Walter Mondale, Doug Jones, and, most famously, Vermont Gov. Howard Dean in his unsuccessful bid for the Democratic nomination in 2003 and 2004. He has been working most recently with the Lincoln Project.

Jackson serves as executive director of the Institute for Strategic Policy Solutions at St. Petersburg College, and as an attorney has worked on disability rights, education advocacy, and public policy strategy.
