(3,917 posts)Straight out of the gate. SCOTUS be damned. If they try to overrule any laws that reign the Executive in for example, expand the court and/or set age limits/ and or impeach them IF we have the numbers. Getting bif Senate numbers is so rare, we haven't had them since Obama's first 2 years, a lot can be done in 2 years. First and foremost we must reign in the Executive and yes it can be done with numbers. Then in a flurry get our agenda not just past but codified into strong laws that are hard to repeal. We MUST get out the vote and play hardball to the 10th degree. Its a 5 alarm fire folks.

Miles Taylor
Malcolm Nance
Sally Yates
Nothing changes until we restore our democracy.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
