My tentative diagnosis:

I have long stated that Orangina has an incredibly complex pathology and the amount and nature of diseases on all five axes is unusual. And yes, I’m aware that the mental health industry did away with the axis model years ago, but I don’t care. It works for me.

I think we are witnessing a prolonged episode of manic behavior instigated by a combination of psychiatric illness, knowledge of near-imminent mortality, and narcissistic collapse. It well known in medical circles that even a terminally ill patient rallies at the end. I saw that with my own very ill father: I recall distinctly taking him out to breakfast and remarking afterwards that I hadn’t seen him that vital in years. Three days later he was in ICU and never regained consciousness.

I post this following result from a search engine: sound vaguely familiar? Add to it CHF, long history of drug utilization, possible systemic infections/diseases which have been suggested by outward symptoms, and severe stress as things collapse coupled with nearly certain fronto-temporal involvement. A recipe for disaster of all types as we are witnessing and experiencing.

Manic behavior prior to a crash or depressive collapse often involves a dramatic escalation in energy and a loss of touch with typical constraints. Identifying these warning signs is critical because unchecked mania usually peaks and abruptly shifts into severe depression, sometimes requiring a clinical stay.Early warning signs and escalating behaviors often include the following: Drastically Reduced Sleep: Needing only a few hours of sleep but waking up feeling energized and rested.Racing Thoughts and Rapid Speech: Thoughts moving too quickly to control, coupled with speaking so fast that others struggle to keep up.Grandiosity: An inflated sense of self-esteem, where an individual may feel invincible or destined for unrealistic feats.Impulsive and Risky Behavior: Engaging in reckless activities, such as excessive spending, overindulgence, or impulsive decisions that contradict normal behavior.Agitation and Irritability: Experiencing a severely shortened fuse. Frustration can arise quickly if others fail to keep pace with rapid ideas or plans. Why the "Crash" Happens: A manic phase pushes the brain and body to extreme, unsustainable limits. Once the intense chemical surge subsides, individuals often experience an abrupt "crash" or collapse into a profound depressive episode. This transition period can feel incredibly draining and is frequently characterized by extreme fatigue, lingering shame, sadness, and an overwhelming loss of motivation as the brain readjusts to stability.

what befuddles me is why his behavior is enabled. This is not normal. I’m trying to recall if there was another politician in history — anywhere who has behaved like this, and what were the consequences.

pedo was and is an abuser. What he does is abuse on a grand scale. His victim is the American people. Over half the population hate him. He has never protected or nurtured, so he abuses all of us, even his supporters. Those of us who see him as the maniac criminal he is, are trying to get to a safe place. Those who love him, try harder and make all those scummy excuses for him. He didn't mean to tear down half the white house. He didn't mean to rape all those children. He didn't mean to rob the U.S. blind. He didn't mean to sell our country out to russia, china, next bidder. He doesn't mean to vilify women and minorities. He'll do better. Yeah, right. Half the country needs counseling on how to recognize abuse, abusive behavior and abusers.

Disclaimer: I'm not a counselor and I haven't slept in a snazzy motel.

Does he have a clue who Iran’s allies are? We might as well prepare for a retaliatory attack.

I say this because I studied with Iranian students back in the day. They are bright and intelligent people. They can retaliate like we can. might not be nuclear but just as devastating.

Like someone once said, don’t start something you can’t finish!

This implies a sense of guilt or fear. But in his mind as long as he as control, nothing ever goes wrong! All is right with his world in his mind.

Wealth exaggerated his power and sense of self. He's essentially like a lot of people, but with psychological components magnified by life-long privilege. The world has seen many a royal despot of similar bent.

BTW, is democracy doing a better job of filtering out the lunatics than the system of royal succession ever did? I mean to say you can argue and question if the elections were fair or stolen, but democracy elected our bunch, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, many in South America? I might agree with the idea that the pathways to power for potential despots are more open now, in democracies.

When monarchs went nuts there was usually a regent or a parliament that quietly took over, as with George III. Or when things got out of hand, as with Charles I (who wasn't really crazy, just despotic), there was a treason trial and execution. In the case of Trump, the problem isn't so much that he's mad, but that he's the leader of a cult that doesn't see it or doesn't care.

I have recently seen a return of the five axis model in holistic health care. Particularly in the rehabilitation and skilled nursing settings. The additions are axis for wellness and physical capacity/function.

I’d like to believe that it’s because it works for giving a quick view of state when charted.

The downside is having a reliable and consistent test/metric for each axis.

We get JD!!!!

IMO, Orangina put JD on the ticket as a kind of insurance policy: "If you get rid of me, you get JD!!!"

With JD you get a stone cold sadist who is smarter and more cruel and more effective at his cruelty.

I don't see any upsides here.

Let me know your thinking on this....

Which is the True reason Trump picked him. Trump‘s thinking has nothing to do with him being replaced as he is not only invincible, but he is also immortal.

No Elected official will give a damn whether JD Vance endorses him or not, and neither will the inhabitants of that region.

Imagine if Nixon had died or been impeached and removed and we got Agnew… that’s why Agnew had to go first.

JD might or might not go, too. But if he doesn't, and he serves out the term as now-President, will he be able to marshal all the repukes support and just carry out Trump's agenda for the rest of his term? He can then run for POTUS for another 4 years, right?

How Many times have we heard that somebody is a front runner for the Republican nomination and who disappears off the map? Didn’t they do that once with Joni Ernst? Or whatever her name is/was. She was “out polling“ everybody for about five minutes. Then nobody ever mention her again for the presidency. It’s a game the media plays

You find a combination of Henry Fonda, Ted Danson, and Bill Burr.

If you don’t care about winning, select an intellectual, progressive, issue-oriented individual who is brilliant and incidentally, not a white male.

I’m not saying this is ok, I’m saying it’s what “is”.
