Watching the House Judiciary hearing on Southern Poverty Law Center

SPLC is accused of paying undercover informants to infiltrate white nationalist, racists groups.

Testifying against SPLC are big Christian Nationalist leaders. They are positioning themselves to make claims for money from the new Trump $1.7b slush fund.

Zoe Lofgren comments that this case is setting precedent that ANYONE prosecuted for racist, anti-Semitic, anti-abortion terrorism, and any future insurrectionists will now be eligible for funding from Trump's slush fund.

It's another grift. Christian pigs lining up at the Trump trough.

It is so heartbreaking and disgusting to listen to the Republican propaganda. White privilege on full display.

You (which is both individuals and entities) just have to "assert one legal claim stating that the claimant was a victim of Lawfare and/or Weaponization." Since "lawfare" and "weaponization" aren't legal terms, this could, in wingnut eyes, just mean you were subject to tax audit. Or someone from the government sent you a letter. Oil companies could claim for having to testify to Congress.

If the people making the (secret) decisions weren't Trump cronies, then the ridiculous stuff would get thrown out. But this is designed to be ridiculous -to go against the normal rule of law.
