(151,562 posts)I think they still sell those. If you want the 250th commemorative stamps you probably have to ask for them.

(11 posts)Might need to get online. I'm sure collectors buy them up.
The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is marking the 250th anniversary of the USA and the Postal Service (17752025) with several major stamp releases in 2025 and 2026

(25,530 posts)I was finding it difficult to believe that there were NO 250th anniversary stamps available.

(39,138 posts)You bought the generic stamps from the machine. Got stand in line and get whatever you want.
But you might have noticed that there's nothing to celebrate. America is over.

(17,014 posts)in order: a qwerty box is what you point your phone at when buying on line i think. If I'm mistaken plerase point out where. Thanks
I did not get the stamps from a machine but from the Postal clerk who seemed to be standing behind a counter dispensing said stamps.
I just checked the USPS website and there is a stamp there from 2025, the flag unfurling in a breeze. No other type or style visiblel.
perhaps you can point me in the right direction to find them. Thank you
Billions of stamps are made annually, there is no collectibe value to them unless they are off centere or misprintred in some manner.
Thanks

(151,562 posts)in this thread. If you are at the post office and ask to buy commemorative 250th anniversary stamps, the clerk will show you what is available at aht a post office. You can choose the ones you want and buy them. You keep insisting they don't have them.
What city and which post office did you visit? Was it a USPS post office or some desk in a grocery store?
Please do not spread nonsense on DU.
Those stamps are available in every damned post office in the United States of America and from the USPS web site to order for delivery to you home.
Just stop doing this stuff or I might get angry about it.

(151,562 posts)Walk into the post office, step up to the counter and say, Can I see the commemorative stamps? there are dozens of the 350th anniversary designs and you can buy as many of them as you want.
you're leaving something out of your post. What is it and why, I do not know. But you are giving incorrect information for some reason. It is simply not true.
Please explain yourself.

(17,014 posts)asking for commemorative stamps. I was purchasing "stamps" regular old "Stamps"..not commemoratives. I'll keep that in mind.
What could I leave out of my post and why would i do something like that?

(151,562 posts)Any statement that said they weren't selling any 250th anniversary stamps. You claimed they weren't. You assumed they weren't. You decided the weren't. They were. They are. You didn't ask. You didn't look. There are posters on the wall showing them.
You said something like, "I want some stamps." Then you came here and said things that weren't true.
Think first. Then post.

(12,024 posts)which some here have rightfully questioned. Later you state you mentioned "qwerty box", but that was not true in the OP.
"forever stamps"
I'll presume you mean a QR box.
"Qwerty" refers to the order of keys on the top alphabetic line of a normal keyboard, and has nothing to do with a box where one would point a phone. It defines the type of keyboard being used: Qwerty vs. Alphabetic.
Thus, reasons for some confusion here.
