(115,635 posts)These folks have shown themselves to be easily manipulated. They are not the savviest voters when it comes to the issues and current events. They are still a cult in Kentucky.
Still, the Republican vote split 51-41. So the cult went 5-4 to the Trump candidate. Maybe it could have been worse?
If the MAGA candidate is only losing 5-10% of the Republican vote, that could mean a lot in the general election.

(13,405 posts)I did not hear if Massey told his voters to back the repub candidate but it sounded like he was congratulating them for being independent thinkers. So I don't think they will back MAGA. From what I gather his voters were young people. They sure don't want to be drafted I'd think.

They already have the wrath of trump and have lost their seats, so they have 6 months havoc they can create against trump now. I really don't believe any of them will tow the line. Because they now hate him.
