2. Well, given I just nearly got myself arrested when someone failed to stop for a goose & gosling

crossing the street early this morning, I probably should NOT respond to this. As to my earlier inciting event: It is an area full of geese and ducks and people know to slow down (state law) and stop but this little arrogant shit head decided he didn't need to. I blocked him a little ways later and gave him a rather intimidating "talking to"... (Yes, I know that was stupid as he could have had a damned gun, but at least he acted "sheepish"... I can back down the biggest, meanest out there when I am really pissed--and in the "right." )

So, reading this makes me similarly want to reach through the virtual screen and teach that teacher a lesson--albeit she may be so racist it would not matter. But this is beyond horrific. I hope something happens to remove her (I can't watch the video right now, but am reacting to the opening screen and headline)..

6. After watching the American Masters documentary on the life of W.E.B DuBois, I cannot stand to watch.

I feared an emotional breakdown, and watching the videos of this monster might put me over the edge. How much longer will this go on?

She should be forced to watch this from beginning to end, in a classroom with black high school students who know what she did, and then respond to their questions.

23. A lawsuit isn't appropriate because the school dealt with the problem

and I doubt that child will need therapy, he's too young to have heard "Strange Fruit" or to have any memory of anyone who was lynched by a white mob. It's all theory to him and it might be the first exposure he's had to that particularly ugly bit of US history instead of the sugar coated crap in his school books. Maybe she needs to invest in a copy of "Lies My Teacher Told Me," maybe spark the kid's interest in history.

I imagine that was Ms. Savage's last day as a teacher. She's old enough for early ocial Security and I know I wouldn't have been able to last that long in a middle school without blowing some kind of fit, although lynching a baby doll wouldn't be my fit of choice because no, just no.
