ALAS. Little Lord Lardass will NOT be doing his MORON DANCE to "Unskinny Bop" as Bret Michaels joins the cancelations

Another performer has pulled out of the "Freedom 250" festival following widespread backlash over its association with President Donald Trump.

Rocker Bret Michaels, of Poison fame, announced on social media Friday morning that the event celebrating the anniversary of America's founding has become politically toxic and had subjected him to a wave of violent threats, so he became the fifth of nine announced acts to pull out.

“When this opportunity was originally presented to my team, it was described as a celebration of our country through music and a chance to honor our veterans, active military, first responders, teachers and hardworking Americans from all walks of life,” Michaels said in a statement posted on Instagram. “As the son of a veteran, and coming from a family that has proudly served, that is something I have always been honored to support.”

Only Vanilla Ice and Milli Vanilli’s Fab Morvan have publicly stated they intend to perform at the event.

What the f6ck is an unskinny bop anyway? The US really needed that "Grunge Rock" Seattle sound to wash all of that nonsense away. And it happened overnite. Gawd Bless Nirvana!

The fourth album, "Native Tongue." They had fired guitarist CC Deville and brought in Richie Kotzen, who got his start on Mike Varney's Shrapnel Records.

Depending on one's perspective, being a "Shrapnel Records Artist" wasn't necessarily a badge of honor. Varney witnessed the rapid ascension of Eddie Van Halen and sought out every long haired dude who could play at the speed of light. This included guys like Paul Gilbert in RacerX, who went on to Mr. Big and superstar status in Japan.

On "Native Tongue," they went for a more serious, harder sound. Problem was, Kotzen sort of felt the band was beneath him and oh...yeah, he also SLEPT WITH THE WIFE OF THE BAND'S DRUMMER, so he was out, Deville was invited back, and the rest is history.

But Sunset Strip (I think that's the right street) just had way too many distractions. 20 something with a million in your checking account. Disaster awaits. 1991 was the year "Smells Like Teen Spirit" came out. Worlds collided. Cheers

"Vanilla Ice last had a brand-new hit single in 1991 with his track "Cool As Ice (Everybody Get Loose)", which peaked at No. 81 on the Billboard Hot 100. His last major, career-defining hit was "I Love You", which reached No. 52 in March 1991."

The same thing that happened at the Kennedy Center is happening here. "Artists" like Kid Rock, Nugent, Vanilla Ice...these people only exist in the MAGAt "bio-zone."

Nugent's last "hit" was "High Enough" in 1990, with Damn Yankees. His last "hit" as a SOLO ARTIST was "Cat Scratch Fever" in 1977.

And in my experience, non-MAGAts tend to respect and follow artists who are still part of the creative process, who may not be "multi-platinum" artists, but who also have had even "modest hits" in the last three decades.

But this is part of Trump's grifter pimp persona, what led him to tell the insurrectionists to go home on January 6 after three and a half hours of carnage, saying "You're very special, and we love you." He says the same things to Kid Rock, Nugent, etc, and they believe him. They ARE a part of the "MAGAt movement." They just aren't considering how that will affect them when Grampy finally croaks.

was when they pretended to be singing and took credit for someone else's performance.

Very on-brand for Trump.

In fact, all the songs will be recordings because no live performers will come this thing.
The question is: How many MAGAs will come to the event if they aren't paid to attend?
