Debbie Wasserman-Schultz has been warned by the Florida Democratic Black Caucus and others to stay out of the congressional race in CD20 and to run in the recently redrawn CD22 district.
There are several articles over this that are out this morning and I'll link to a few. Below is also the letter from the Florida Democratic Black Caucus urging her to stay out of the race.
Link to letter below

Another Black organization is urging U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz not to run in Floridas 20th Congressional District.
In a three-page statement shared with media outlets, the Democratic Black Caucus of Florida urged Wasserman Schultz to stay out of CD 20 and instead run in the newly drawn Floridas 22nd Congressional District a competitive seat the organization says she is well-positioned to win.
At a time when aggressive redistricting has already weakened minority voting strength across Florida, the preservation of Black political representation is not optional. It is essential, the group said.
We do not need the easy win. We need the meaningful win. And let there be no confusion about what is at stake in this moment: Black political representation in Florida is now on the line.

'Representation matters': DNC members condemn Wasserman Schultz's run in historically-Black district
Nearly all of the elected members of the Florida Democratic National Committee have condemned Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultzs (D- Weston) decision to run for reelection in Floridas new 20th congressional district.
In a statement released Tuesday, 10 of the 15 elected members of the Florida DNC said that by running in the historically Black district, Wasserman Schultz was undermining Black political representation.
Our party cannot credibly denounce the dismantling of Black political power by Republicans while treating one of Floridas few remaining majority-Black districts as a political opportunity for an incumbent seeking a safer seat. We cannot claim to defend voting rights, racial justice, and representation while undermining Black political power when it becomes politically convenient, the statement said.
Signees included Daniel Henry, Vice Chair of the Florida Democratic Party.

Wasserman Schultzs FL-20 run undermining Black political power, DNC members say
Almost all of Floridas elected Democratic National Committee members are condemning Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultzs decision to run for reelection in a district previously drawn to ensure Black voters representation but targeted for redistricting by Gov. Ron DeSantis this year. Our party cannot credibly denounce the dismantling of Black political power by Republicans while treating one of Floridas few remaining majority-Black districts as a political opportunity for an incumbent seeking a safer seat, a group of 10 elected Florida DNC members wrote in a statement released Tuesday. All but two of the partys 11 non-officer, elected members signed the letter, as well as the Florida Democratic Partys first vice chair, Daniel Henry. The letter follows Wasserman Schultzs announcement that she would run for Floridas 20th District after DeSantis and the state Legislature rearranged congressional district boundaries in South Florida, leaving just three left-leaning districts in a region with five Democratic incumbents.
Wasserman Schultz, in Congress for more than 20 years, chose to run in a safe blue seat where a Democrat is all but guaranteed to win in the general election, instead of in one of the surrounding districts, newly drawn to favor Republicans. Wasserman Schultz lives in Floridas new 22nd District, which stretches from Coral Springs to Marco Island. Her previous voters were split five ways in Floridas new voting maps, but only a small portion of them were drawn into the 20th District.

Poll: Debbie Wasserman Schultz leads CD 20 contest, remains popular with Black, Caribbean voters
The campaign-backed poll found criticism over race largely failed to dent Wasserman Schultzs support.

New polling from U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultzs campaign shows that despite outcry over her candidacy in the plurality Black Floridas 20th Congressional District, shes the clear front-runner, and her race isnt a nonstarter for most voters.
EMC Research, commissioned by Wasserman Schultzs camp, surveyed 400 likely August 2026 Democratic Primary voters from the newly drawn CD 20 in English and Spanish by phone, email and text message.
The poll, which ran May 5-10, found Wasserman Schultz is well-known and popular, with 52% of likely voters picking her among a list of eight announced and potential August Primary candidates. No other candidates came close to that level of support, pollsters noted. Wasserman Schultzs name recognition and favorability are also extremely high, with 93% of respondents saying they know of her and 80% saying they view her favorably.
African American voters and voters of Caribbean descent view her most favorably, with 84% and 85% of each group, respectively, rating her positively. Her lowest favorability (net +34), was with Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, multiracial voters and people identifying with another ethnic background.
