My telephone # begins with 666. 
When my wife got our current provider and phone number, the agent said we could change it if we wanted. She said that some people change it, however it works just fine for us.
The first time my mil called after we got it she called Ms. A's cell five or six times we did not answer. Then she called the land line. After Ms. A had finished the call I told her that her mom had to work up the courage to call the land line. LOL
Today we were at a chain optical place trying to find out how much my new glasses were going to cost. The person we dealt with was a real airhead and Ms. A and I had considered just going to another store, but we sat there while she kept looking through stuff and having all sorts of issues with the computer. Finally, she asked for our phone number. As soon as I said:
"_ _ _ - 666 -" she got this stupid smirk on her face. I rolled my eyes at Ms. A and said "is something wrong."
She said "I would think about changing it."
We live in a very Southern Baptist fundamentalist type area. There are Bible colleges all over and even a 7th Day Adventist college in the area.
I told Ms. A that we needed to leave. I was tempted to tell her that I was the Anti-Christ and ask her if the was nervous serving us.
