Mormons have themselves to blame over Hegseth insult.

Mormon senators were all in on confirming Hegseth even though it was clear he is a Christian nationalist and also unqualified to be Secretary of Defence. Now their ox is being gored and they object.

literally spawned in the bowels of Hell. We were taught as kids growing up evilgelical that Mormons were demonic and headed straight to fire and brimstone. In 2012 I thought they'd balk at voting for Romney for exactly that reason. Seems I forgot they're also wind up dolls with little independent thought. Poster children for cognitive dissonance. That's easy for those taught from the cradle to do what they're told and never, ever think for themselves.

Luckily some of us came to the conclusion as teens that the beliefs we were force fed were just as fucked up as any we were taught to despise. Their imaginary BS is wrong but our imaginary BS is right? OK.

What motivates people to adopt and maintain religious beliefs in the first place? Social connectivity, indoctrination at an early age, fear of death, purpose of life?

I ask for rhetorical reasons, because I sure do not know...but religious influence seems to be a dominant factor where I live. It is constantly an issue, for some reason?

Evangelicals are like "my way or the highway - to Hell!"
Spaghetti is like "I can be made with any grain, grass, leaf, veggie, or legume; cooked any way, nibbled on dry, and can be served any way with anything so long as I'm nutritious"
Spaghetti is Woke as hell.
So is the flying Spaghetti Monster.

How will they ever decide which sect or cult they will choose? Are they going to go the way Europe went? A series of wars and dead folks promoting their own brand?
