As I read the hunting regulations for the State of West Virginia it would be legal to hunt in the state using an armed Drone as the weapon of choice. Radio-controlled Drones suitable in size and capacity to carry a gun and a camera can be purchased on E-Bay. It would be easy to make the package lethal; Put in a miniature camera from Radio Shack and add one more servo to fire a gun. With no law or regulation to deny me my right to fly my own armed drone, and being a hunting weapon its clearly covered by the 2nd Amendment, I suppose I could just go ahead if I wanted to. Could you do it in your state?
PS: There is no sarcasm tag on this post because I can see no reason why the most cowardly approach to warfare in the history of man should not be available to every cowardly sportsman.

(25,592 posts)Not all hunters are "sportsmen". Think of caribou Barbie.
Strip down a Bushmaster to its essential working parts + a 100 round drum, and mount it on a suitable, private drone.
You and I both know there are people that are willing and able to do that.
Edited to add" And don't forget the rubber band.

Now you need to look up your state law to see what airborne hunting is permitted.
PS -- Dynamiting fish from a drone might be fun.

This is what we're dealing with.

If you are so brave then you go carry a gun into range of people with weapons who want to kill you. Good luck with that.
P.S. Guns have recoil. Odds are your drone won't survive the first shot.

(23,374 posts)but the capacity of the cluster bomb is limited to five bomblets. DNR rangers will enforce this.
High-explosive charges will pre-tenderize the venison. Incendiary charges will cook it for you.
I see no downside.

(48,121 posts)Catching something, killing it, eating it (pretty sure that has been the norm since humans walked the planet).
Now it would be nice if I could use a drone sub to hunt them but shooting would take fun out of it (like the feel of the fish on the other end of a line).
Gonna have to check here in Ohio and see if they allow sub fishing....
