Heard this one a long time ago. Just had strong winds, stronger rain, and thunder blow through Richmond, VA. Big tree limbs came down in the backyard and took out my comm cables.

(6,722 posts)We had a spell of bad weather that seemed almost monsoon-like for a very brief time. Then the clouds parted and now we're enjoying a a late spring evening.
Any time mother nature is mentioned, it's hard for me not to visualize this lady:

(35,457 posts)It reminds me of Puerto Rico. It used to be so strange when half of the yard would be getting rain and the other half was dry. The clouds are very specialized during sun showers. 🌞

Soon he will do a King Cnut the Great re-enactment, carried to the water's edge and command the tide to not come in.
Not so much on a carried throne, but a golf buggy.
