(70,026 posts)It was a slap in the face. I've never forgiven Poppy Bush. For that and a lot of other things but that nomination in particular was a really vile thing to do.

(2,439 posts)Could only imagine what was going through his mind that day. We had to leave DC a little early because things started getting dangerous. When we got back to Delaware, our school bus was pelted with rocks. In a few weeks, Bobby Kennedy was killed. Crazy times.
Anyway, Justice Marshall was a great man, while Clarence Thomas is just an ass.
