Am I missing something here...?

Yesterday, NBC News reported, and as of this posting, it’s still on their site, that paramedics responded to a cardiac arrest at Sen. McConnell’s residence. I have not seen any reports that he’s awake or alert.

So the question is, is he in a coma or brain-dead ( —insert joke here—) and on life-support? And how is this not a public story since he’s an elected individual? Enquiring minds want to know!!

(And for all you lurking MAGAT’s or other sanctimonious individuals, do recall that Hair Furor positively gloated over the deaths of Rob Reiner and his wife, among many others. Accusations of being ghoulish will be met with verbal howitzers from yours truly.)

That that article was talking about the past. It felt like they were saying that happened when turtle disappeared from the public eye. I read the blurb twice, because I was wondering how he wasnow.for whatever reason, I processed it as telling the story of what happened to him weeks/months ago. That does not mean he has not passed, but this wad my take away. (full disclosure: I have a brain injury and do not always understand everything as presented)

the current governor from having any say in filling a vacancy in the Senate.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Republican lawmakers in Kentucky on Friday removed the Democratic governor from any role filling future U.S. Senate vacancies — a move supporters said was unrelated to recent scrutiny about the health of the state’s senior senator, Republican leader Mitch McConnell.

...according to how Kentucky deals with senatorial vacancies.

There's no interim appointment by the governor. So Rethugs would be one down in the Senate.

At least 56 days before the election, the governor issues a proclamation and directs it to the sheriffs in each county in which an election is to be held. Those sheriffs must then give notice of the election at least 49 days before the election.

McConnell warns about Pulte’s lack of experience to serve as Director of National Intelligence

https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/5908231-mcconnell-pulte-dni-qualifications/ - June 3rd - he was taken to the hospital on the 14th ... hmmm

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) warned on Wednesday that any person tapped to serve as director of national intelligence (DNI) must have “extensive national security experience,” sending a pointed message to President Trump after he tapped Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte for the nation’s top intelligence job.

McConnell did not name Pulte in his statement but made it clear that he’s not likely to vote for him to serve as DNI in a longer-term capacity. Trump has only named Pulte as acting DNI and not formally submitted a nomination to the Senate for him to serve throughout the rest of his presidential term.

The Senate would need to vote to confirm Pulte to oversee the nation’s intelligence agencies in more than a temporary “acting” capacity.

“Very few Senate-confirmable positions come with statutory eligibility requirements. There are good reasons why the Director of National Intelligence is one of them. Anyone performing this role of such immense public trust must have the extensive national security experience required by statute, and no nominee who falls short of this requirement will earn my vote,” McConnell said.

They are so full of shit. Can't just leave it with "he's receiving excellent care."

How likely is it that a man found unconscious who received CPR (10% success rate in saving a life) and was then transported to a local hospital in an Advanced Life Support ambulance" is anywhere except in the ICU on life support?

If the man is at the end of his life, just let him go with some dignity
