I've been fuming about SCOTUS for days (months, years...?) now. I've written to my Congress Critters several times, but I guess I'm not done getting some stuff off my chest.
To wit:
If the six RWNJ's on SCOTUS feel they have to contort, squish, shove, and splice every word of every law or even constitutional amendment that they rule upon in order to make it say not what it actually says, but what they think it SHOULD say, then maybe they should give up their robes and run for Congress.
Our laws are written in English, and most of us outside the oval office are capable of reading. We elect our representatives and senators to make our laws, and we even...ahem...elect our president to sign off on them. Those six fuckers on the court were not elected to do anything. Their job isn't to make law.
I'm sick to death of them trying to tell me that people who are born here are not citizens, or that separation of powers means they get to do whatever they want, or that every person in this country--even the aforementioned president--should not, actually, be treated equally under the law, or that blatant racism isn't actually racism at all.
I can read. I wish they could.
