Claiming ENDA would represent the return of Jim Crow laws in a blog post accompanying his radio rant, Fischer ludicrously rips former GOP vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan:
Ryan today reiterated his support for ENDA, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
This is a horrible bill for a social conservative to support since it would mean the absolute end of religious liberty and freedom of association in the marketplace. It would, in other words, gut the First Amendment. Its shameful for Ryan, who also voted for this Constitution-shredding bill in 2007, to be so blissfully and blindly unaware of the consequences of this legislation.

For Fischer I'm thinking this is less of a dreaded prediction and more of a hopeful wish.

(34,189 posts)Normally I wouldn't go in a "Christian" bookstore, but if one hired a flaming homosexual wearing stilettos, I might since it would show a more open mind than any of the rest of their ilk.

Not that any of us think of working in a Christian bookstore as a dream job.
Spider Jerusalem
(21,786 posts)(and I would hazard that there are a lot more femme lesbians than drag queens, and that non-drag gay male transvestism is exceedingly rare in my experience; transgender people will "crossdress", but that's something else again).

(19,288 posts)Was 17 in 1973. I was 18. He was the cutest 'girl' ever. He was boy crazy and I liked boys, too. We had a lot in common. My boyfriend was cool with him. He had wild and crazy stories about his adventures. I never had a clue and was so glad he shared his tales. It made me much more aware. He told me he had known since he was 3 that men sparked his interest. I ascribed to the born this way idea, the minute I heard it. I just knew it was not some moral failing. He was so like a woman in a man's body. But he could transform into a cute girl, much better than I could. He was shorter, thinner, had smaller feet and better hair.
Wonder where he is these days?

(20,176 posts)fit that description from dipshit Fischer.
Either one of them would be a welcome addition to any Christian bookstore that was looking for actual Christian scholars and theologians to staff...probably the sorts of Christian bookstores that Bryan Fischer would never set foot in though, not because they had LBGTQ Christians on staff, but because he'd feel intellectually out-of-his-league among actual Christian academics.

(15,674 posts)That he thinks
1. Crossdresser = gay male (that's what he's most worried about)
2. There are just armies of cross-dressers out there who would jump at a chance to work in a Christian bookstore since they would be dealing with
a. An unfriendly workplace
b. In many cases, taking a worse job than what they currently have
This man must live in constant fear about the hordes of homos out there that, why greatly less in number than heterosexuals, will somehow infiltrate and come to control and dominate every part of society, no matter how minute.
