Good news from Facebook tonight! I have heard from Facebook HQ and there will be no removal of my posts or my site because of what I said about how America doesn't really support its troops (and we should just stop saying that we do). There will be no censorship whatsoever. They apologized and feel bad that I received the notice threatening sanctions against my Facebook account. They said it was a big mistake, an error in their protective systems that produced a "false-positive" regarding me. They're sorry and now everything is back to normal. Thank you Facebook, and thanks to all of you who made your feelings known this evening. Within hours, all was well...

Dear Bill Kristol: More People Than You Thought Are Vulgar, Disgusting and Far-Left
I just sent this to Bill Kristol, the editor of the Weekly Standard magazine and one of the most influential advocates of our invasion of Iraq. He posted something this morning about my post where I found an old quote from Chuck Hagel about how the Iraq War is all about the oil.

I'll let you know when Bill gets back to me. (If you don't know much about Bill, you can find a good introduction here about his pre-war debate with Daniel Ellsberg.)

(10,123 posts)Hey,
Thanks for posting this, the alternative world these right wing assholes live in is beyond me. It goes on and on. It is like the idiot son was never president and his policies were fine. Shedding 800,000 jobs a month did not even happen. Bizarro world, two month war my ass. We all knew they were lying to begin with. Not sure of the polls today, but so many believed Iraq was responsible for the bombings in NYC, makes me sick to this day.
Peace

(24,722 posts)A lot of the article focuses on a c-span Morning Journal appearance in '03 by Kristol & Daniel Ellsberg in making its point about how smarmy & deceptive Bill Kristol is. The topic was the Iraq war & it had been only 9 days after the Iraq invasion began. The article includes a number of excerpts of the discussion. Here's the first:
"KRISTOL: That's just not true. We've had mistakes in our Iraq policy. It's just ludicrous -- we didn't choose Hussein. We didn't put him in power.
"ELLSBERG: In 1963, when there was a brief uprising of the Ba'ath, we supplied specifically Saddam with lists, as we did in Indonesia, lists of people to be eliminated. And since he's a murderous thug, but at that time our murderous thug, he eliminated them...
"KRISTOL: {surprised} Is that right?...
"ELLSBERG: The same thing went on in '68. He was our thug, just as {Panamanian dictator Manuel} Noriega, and lots of other people who were on the leash until they got off the leash and then we eliminated them. Like {Vietnamese president} Ngo Dinh Diem."

The entire article is a good read.

He punked the right wingers really really good this time, they are so predictable you could set an atomic clock by them.
