(34,661 posts)most egegious of all. It is non other than the State of Utah, think it is rated with Arkansas or west Virginia. Followed by Idaho and Arizona. Just using data posted within the last couple of months. Notice the correlation,Rethug-Christian -Taliban,run states. And,racist as they come.

(80 posts)But Montana is not ANT-UNION. We are a closed shop state even though we are surrounded by right to work for less states, and in this last election the people had the opportunity to turn us right to work with electing our first republican governor in 8 years and did not. We have a long and storied Union history in our state. The miners union started in Butte, MT as well as one of the first retail clerks unions was founded in Butte, MT as well. We may not have as high as density as we used to but we are still union proud. Even the republican governors that had a 16 years in the governors mansion opposed Right to work for less laws. We may not be listed as a top union state, but we certainly are not Anti-Union.

(80 posts)I just wanted to make sure that montana was not unnecessarily lumped into a group of anti-union. Also I would not dispute the figures as they are most likely correct we are toward the bottom of wages and such, we have continued to drop as our union density dropped, so i would not dispute the figures just the characterization of anti-union.

(80 posts)Bad on my part i was simply refering to the fact that we are not right to work for less. you have to be a member or pay representational fee dues. upon further research i should have used the term union shop.
