4. You don't maybe, it is time to start re-routing just a few of these threads

to the gungeon? I mean seriously, the lady who shot some guy in the face while in her attic qualifies as "big news". Come on, it has turned into a pissing match. One out of every six threads is actually substantive and deserves to be in GD.

7. Frankly, I appreciate all the information about this issue.

Granted, some of the discussions can turn snarky and unproductive, but there is not an issue I care about more passionately. I feel a responsibility to be aware of all the proposals, resistance and ramifications as I made a promise to myself after Sandy Hook to do all I could to support efforts to stop the madness.

11. If you actually sort through those OPs I guarantee you

less than 1/3 of them have ANYTHING to do with policy, and are just 1) red meat for the gun control side or 2) red meat for the gun nuts.

The Jeff Foxworthy-esque "You might be a gunnut" thread sure has lots to offer
