TSA has pulled the plug on the "naked body" scanners.

They will be removed from all US airports:

...Congress had asked the scanner manufacturer to find a way to produce more generic passenger images, but after failing to meet the Congressional timeline, the company terminated its government contract, a TSA administrator told Bloomberg.

The TSA had already started removing the scanners from 76 major airports last year; it now says it will get rid of the remaining 174 machines...

So I told him it was my right. He then tells me I needed to give him a "legit" reason. To which I replied that I didn't. He saw I was getting pissed and said that they ask people now because there's a lot of misinformation regarding the scanners.

That don't use ionizing radiation. I'm still refusing to go through them.

They've completely outlawed them in the EU although the UK still has them and if you're selected you can't opt out. Which is one reason that I'm not flying to England anymore. I'll take the the Eurostar from Paris and back before I'll fly out of LHR. And have done so.

Read the entire article:

The TSA will replace the Rapiscan machines with versions made by L-3 Communications Holdings Inc.

I knew it was too good to be true. They get too many kicks from irradiating and harassing people at the airports and borders. This kind of treatment is why I no longer enter the US of A. My stepmother is still traumatized from crossing the border over 2 years ago, they ripped her vehicle apart and wouldn't even allow them to use the washroom for the time it took to do it, this was a couple of grey haired 75 year old women one with a bladder problem for petes sake.

The repig-owned company that made these pocketed the billions and ran. They're laughing all the way to the Cayman Islands. After they spend all their millions, probably on hookers & crack & yachts, they'll be back at the taxpayer teat for something else.
