Listening to Matthews blather about Hillary Clinton . . . . he is SUCH a fucking ass

In trying to praise her he sounds the very same as he did when she put him down.

Chris, my boy, YOU are out of touch, over the hill, and very 20th Century. Maybe its time to hang up the spurs there, Hoss.

heaven forbid Matthews act like the old dude he is. He's old school, but he's also pretty darn progressive. Does he retain some of the old school sensibilities about women and race and whatnot, sure. Is that a positive, no. Does he get it right most of the time? Yes.

We love him one moment then he says something someone doesn't like and he's an a$$ again.

The only truly fair critique of him IMO is that he is a fairly bad interviewer who interrupts his guests amazingly way way too much.

Tweety did nothing but throw a tantrum. It was embarrassing, to say the least.

The polls told Nate Silver, as well as Dr Wang, that Obama was going to win, down to the last Electoral Vote.

That was the material they used....how did they draw that conclusion if the polls didn't show the President winning?

The President did not do enough to defend himself and win decisively, however. I don't blame Chris Matthews for being angry after that first debate, it was like they didn't expect Rmoney to lie or even show up for the damn thing. Thankfully Obama and his team woke up for the second debate.

But I'm talking about the polls regarding who people were voting for, which is what you seemed to start out talking about, but keep hopping around between that and the polls about the debate.

Anyhow, have a nice evening.

The story remains the same, only the players have changed. Matthews is a political sycophant and opportunist. From the way back machine at Think Progress

In A Three Minute Monologue, Matthews Gushes Over Bush’s ‘Great Neo-Conservative Mind’

– “We’re proud of our president. Americans love having a guy as president, a guy who has a little swagger, who’s physical.” [5/1/03]

– “Sometimes it glimmers with this man, our president, that kind of sunny nobility.” [10/25/05]

– “I like him. Everybody sort of likes the president, except for the real whack-jobs, maybe on the left.” [11/28/05]

– “A little bit of Lincoln there, I think,” referring to Bush finally admitting that telling Iraqi insurgents to “bring it on” in 2003 “sent the wrong signal to people.” [5/25/06]

Short article is worth the read. Seriously - this guy enjoys kissing political ass. Matthews can be very entertaining and he does know politics, but he often comes across as a fool. A Jester who kisses the most expediant ass. It sells tickets.

My 2cents.

And pretty much unwatchable.

I think he's the guy who went to the NBC suits and got Phil Donohue kicked off MSNBC. And it would not surprise me if he was trying to grease the skids under Olbermann's ass as well.

He impresses me as a guy who desperately wants to be part of the beltway in crowd but somehow they just won't accept him.

He's just fucking tiresome and I wish he'd go the hell away.
