I don't often feel like slapping someones face.

Damn good thing I don't live in Arizona. Jan Brewer needs to be slapped, and slapped and slapped again. Damn, she's ugly (in character).

Of course, I'm just blowing off steam. I would never hit her.

There might be those who "rise above", but they're few and far between on the right or the left. Violence is part of the human condition, and will remain such indefinitely....mainly because violence frequently is the most efficient solution for a given problem.

Whether or not it's a moral solution is an entirely different question, yes?

President Obama handled it properly. No public flogging. He just dismissed her and walked away. He didn't break her finger or slap her. He set a good example and clearly many didn't get it.

That's not exactly how discussion forums work. If you don't want someone responding to what you write, you shouldn't write it. Christ, it's really not all that complicated.

On edit: More specifically, people were responding to the idiotic assertion that violence solves nothing as well as the inane assertion that those on the left are hypocritical to suggest that those on the right are the violent ones. Both of those asinine assertions were addressed by other posters. If you don't want people correcting your BS, perhaps keeping quiet would be best.

Throughout history violence has been placed upon the meek and non violence.... results the violence win because the meek won't fight. The problems come from hate, low self esteem, ignorance and the belief that they are more powerful than the masses. Turning the other cheek and saying "I LOVE YOU" is not the solution to evil. The meek has to become strong and stop taking "SHIT IN THEIR FACE AND MADE TO EAT IT". I am non violent but "don't F... with me"!!!

Heck no. But, the irony of it is that we complain about it, try to take the higher ground, but then we get posts like this advocating violence and fantasy of violence towards a female politician. Seems hypocritical to me. No? You endorse the musings of violence towards women, and female politicians? Right after we saw that wonderful moment between Barack Obama and Gabby Giffords? Really?

To each his own. I merely point it out that we lose our moral ground by becoming what we despise in reciprocation.

Seems below the standards of this website, but I am not one to do any more than point it out.

if we do the same thing. It defeats the moral high ground. I could have been more clear there, but I am glad to know that you advocate violence and musings of violence towards female politicians. People often reveal their nature and many have in this thread. When the next uproar over the right happens and violence, you will have no standing. Because you advocate what you supposedly despise if you get wadded up. No rising above for you.

And fuck, you really have a very hard time with moral equivalencies (look it up). When the next uproar occurs, I will have all the standing in the world. You wanna know why? Because I don't fucking beat up people I don't agree with. You really need to garner somewhat of a clue.
