Machine gun fire from military helicopters flying over downtown Miami Fl.

If anything in that list surprises you excepting the secret prisons (within the US, at least), read my Journal and the Occupy Underground activism forum.

A quick google search reveals the same thing in April 2011 & May 2012.

as "normal", the more likely it is to become the new normal.

"Conditioning" and "normalization".

Why do they assume they were blanks? Don't they have enough government owned land to play their little war games over?
We have dark days ahead

cars worth of families. This is another example of "Military Intelligence"

Someone(s) need to be stripped of their command over this. And maybe some federal prison time.
Why do we, as a country, take war and violence over peace and prosperity? What is wrong with us.

I could just imagine the shells raining down on the highway as people are trying to drive around.

the helicopter.
Or maybe it is just like on TV. Only bad guys have guns that eject the brass. You never see any brass from the cops guns after a shootout. Makes more sense that doing military shoots over civilian traffic, even if they did use "blanks", where did the wads go?

20. They have brass catchers
Sun Jan 27, 2013, 02:54 PM

that fit on machine guns- more to keep the shell from getting into something important than the metal value.
The blanks the military uses are sealed in wax. The barrel needs an adapter that physically blocks the barrel for the blanks to cycle the weapon, nothing can be fired out without blowing up the gun.

The cover story sounds BS. There is a lot not being said.

I always hated firing blanks- they gunk up the weapons something fierce. It took three times as long to clean as actually shooting bullets.

For effing WHAT?

Just a little un-announced drill involving the US military and local law enforcement.

In downtown Miami.

All of these police and military rushing where? I bet it was to secure the bridges and entrances to the 1% areas like "Star" Island. They know the people aren't going to stay calm as things get worse.

It's funny how anybody who doesn't buy into the latest paranoid adventure is a sheep.

In this case, it's a legit military exercise. They play their traditional war games at their bases and at sea all the time. Every now and then, they need to practice in an urban setting. I just cannot crap myself when the military does what they are obligated to do.

are several news channels and newspapers who disclosed ahead of time that this would be happening. The firing of the gun was probably them taking out a target as part of the exercise. It also says this is a multi day event, and that they did it in March 2011 as well. It's curious to note that Miami has been used twice. I'm wondering if their intel shows Miami as a likely target. Hmmmm.....
