General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsMore and more jobs are low-paying, part-time, no benes. And yet,
in much of the US, including where I live, you pretty much HAVE to have a car to get around.
Also, how 'bout those jobs that pay minimum wage--or not much better--and "must have own transportation?"
How are you supposed to have your own transportation with such crappy wages? You can't unless you live with your parents, spouse's family, etc....
If it wasn't so dangerous, I'd suggest mopeds or scooters. :sigh:

(42,766 posts)It was no accident either. They all but obliterated the Middle Class. Most workers are now working
below their potential and many more are working two or three McJobs if they can even find them.
And the willfully ignorant still listen to the RW Hatemonger Media and continue to vote rethuglican.
This is part I'll never get, how people can vote against their own best interests.

(5,946 posts)first it is a blue state, that is a major one, second NJ used to have an incredible bus system and even though it has been reduced over the years, I can still get to most places by bus if I plan. Sadly, that is no longer true of the trains, they hardly run at all.
