Tonight, a group of neighbors stood around Jamie's house and applauded as he returned home.
This is what a hero of the republic looks like.
#TrumpIsGuilty and @RepRaskin proved it.

Couldn't be prouder to be a constituent of Jamie @RepRaskin, our neighbor and friend ... No better time to be a constitutional law expert.

(12,451 posts)I said in an earlier thread that at the very least the man deserved a standing ovation for his efforts and excellent presentation. A difficult job under any circumstances and certainly made more so after the recent loss of his son.
Well done, Sir!

He has been inspirational.

(28,021 posts)But I decided to wait until this trial was over to mention it, but having watched I suppose every episode of Law and Order multiple times ... he reminds me of
Jack McCoy ... its in his diction, and the way he wags his head left to right at times to elucidate his point, and in his fire to seek and speak the truth ...
if youve watched the series, youll recognize it

(30 posts)Wonderful to hear about the applause and warm greetings. I hope it helped him transition back home and away from the tremendous work he and his fellow managers have been doing these last few weeks.
Rest well, Representative Raskin. Be with your family and take time to grieve your son now.

(12,529 posts)Congressman Raskin gave it direction. In a normal court of law guilt would have been undeniable.

(42,805 posts)To this thread.
By doing the excellent job that he did, he showed millions of Americans and the world what a true patriot is.
He stands in stark contrast to those destructive fools who can only call themselves patriots.

Mr. Raskin - I salute you and thank you for the tireless work you did on behalf of real Americans.

(10,482 posts)for the magnificent job he did.
I have to say, though, that I fear for his safety. He is the antithesis of the RW mob, and they find that offensive. And clearly they believe violence is an acceptable way to express their disapproval.

(8,172 posts)I wish I was one of his neighbors or at least live close enough to join in.
My respect and admiration for him is beyond any ability to express.
As an aside, I was stunned when he brought up Dar Williams name in his commentary referring to her as a friend, whom I had been acquainted with some years ago.
I loved how he brought up SNIC, and addressed the issues they were involved with. Giving honor to Julian Bond (who I had the pleasure of meeting at a social event also some years ago) and John Lewis.
What a precious soul he is and treasure we have.
I could listen to him speak for hours.
