Okay, I am going to open a can of worms here but here goes:

I had a girlfriend that was raped repeatedly by her Catholic keepers, not only by the Priests but also by the affiliated charities supported by the church and YOUR MONEY! . As a foster kid she was placed in a catholic run group home. And she was passed around the room sitting on men's laps. she was ten. Gang raped and used for sex for almost ten years. BY CATHOLICS. (This was in Sacramento). She was then and is now one screwed up woman.


IMO, If you are CATHOLIC you are a criminal. A conspiracy is a conspiracy and this one goes to the top of the religion. You are supporting the largest criminal child molestation ring the world has ever seen. No longer one or two rogue priests,(Or even hundreds) the CONSPIRACY TO MOLEST CHILDREN HAS USED YOUR MONEY AND FAITH to keep EVERYONE IN THE CHURCH IN CHILD SEX.

the simple fact that I see people going to Mass everyday and nobody protesting tells me that Catholics do not care one wit about this. How you can go to church and put money in the collection plate and send your kids to Catholic school knowing that this goes from top to bottom, flabbergasts me.

Everyone in the church from the Pope to the parishioners is guilty of this. And if you attend Mass or donate YOU ARE GUILTY. If you change the name of the church to hippie love cult you can guarantee that EVERYONE INVOLVED, especially one that financed then, would all be in jail.

So that I too can paint you with the same broad brush. Go ahead. Spell them out. What organizations? Give me a chance to put them under the same microscope as the Catholic church has faced, so I can pass judgment on you too.

Keep in mind, that I don't believe in sacred cows. It is partly because of my disappointment in the Catholic leaders that I trust no autocrats. In the same way, I don't have much confidence in anyone who makes such extreme judgments as you do. Fanatics come in many different shapes and sizes.

I wish the sexual abuse was only in Catholic churches, etc but it is not. This happens in many religions. It does not excuse the sexual abuse in any case, this needs to stop in all cases.

There is good and bad, but if the real truth was known I would think there are lots of good people in all religions.

I agree with much of what you said, but NOT hat every parissioner is a criminal and that we should be burning the churches down. I'm old now, but I can honestly tell you, after attending 12 years of the same Catholic School, I NEVER heard of any of this molestation, and I remember our religion class was taught by the priest. You'd have to have met him to understand what I mean when I say there's NO WAY Fr. Becker was guilty of anything like this abuse!

I still consider myself a Catholic, although I no longer attend Church every Sunday. I'm very disgusted with the actions many of the priests have been involved in, and very disappointed in the POPE for not punishing them and turning them over to the courts for proper punishment. It's a sad day for the Church that it''s representatives have caused such distruction that Ithinkit's possible it may not survive.

That is exactly how I feel about it. The thing is I have protested my ass off and screamed fromt eh top of every whatever. It doesn't seem to have done much, Bu at least I tried.

And one thing you have do admit is a difference here..... CRIMINIALITY. Child molestation is a criminal offense. (And while war and al that might seem like a crime, it never is...right?).

For years hundreds of thousand of kids have been molested. BY PEOPLE IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. And people continued to give the church money, voluntarily. And that supports the conspiracy.

BTW< my former girl is not the only example I can give you of people I know that have been raped as children by Catholics. One priest raped kids and was moved to Mexico where he continues to rape children.

10. I understand your anger, but you should not make a blanket condemnation of all members

of the faith. I left the Roman Catholic Church and became Episcopalian because the RCC would not accept me for being gay. I have many issues with the RCC but remember that there are over a billion members of that faith, and to say they are all criminals is disgusting.

Like others here I understand your anger, but to say every practicing Catholic shares the guilt for the church's crimes is just wrong. That kind of thinking is responsible for some of the worst crimes in history against huge swaths of people. It's simplistic and dangerous.
