I'm female and almost 50, and that was always THE WORST word anyone could ever say. I swear like a sailor, but that's one word I have never used.

However, I see the younger generation using it much more casually and frequently.

Much to my surprise, I've also discovered that some friends I know, who are my age (men and women), from the Wisconsin/Minnesota area also use it fairly casually and frequently.

Regardless, this tweet is way out of bounds, but I do wonder about the use of the word itself now and if it's viewed by others as being as offensive as I've always viewed it.
