Even one I highly disagree with...and lord knows water and oil have more in common than me with Breitbart.

You might want to remember he left behind two young children.

'I had no love for the guy' and leave it at that (some did say that, of course).

The grave-dancing just looks terrible.

What struck me were the assertions that his children are now 'better off' not being raised by a man with such political beliefs. Where have I heard that kind of thing before?

Oh yeah, now I remember:

It's no secret that state repression of all kinds breaks up families. It's also not a secret that regimes would justify repressing parents on the grounds that their beliefs/status made them unfit to raise children. And many examples are from infamous RW dictatorships to boot. While this may not be well-known among the general public, it is here.

Of course, I'm only talking about a small number of people who said that. I think most people find such ideas quite troubling.

All men have an emotion to kill; when they strongly dislike some one they involuntarily wish he was dead. I have never killed any one, but I have read some obituary notices with great satisfaction.

I've made the mistake of attributing this quote to Mark Twain as well.

This is one of the meanest cold-hearted posts i've seen, and it's so sad to see others celebrating it.

He was a human being, loved by family and friends. How do you think they'd feel reading your post?

Criticize his public persona and views, but it was just one facet of who he was as a human being. His family and friends saw the whole person, including the good in him. They deserve to grieve in peace without your grave-dancing.

There are a lot of people who have suffered and died due to Breitbart's efforts to fuck over the poor and disadvantaged. Yet he never shed a tear for any of them. In fact, he said that he loved it.

As such, the pain of his friends and loved ones does not concern me. The man decided to be evil knowing what it would do to them.

"a human being, loved by family and friends" doesn't negate his awful actions.

There are a lot of people that were loved by family and friends. That doesn't make them good people or deserving respect.

I'm not condoning "grave dancing", but I don't buy into that argument.

His death should have taught most of us a lesson. Life is short. You don't know when the end is. Enjoy life as much as possible and limit personal feelings of hate as much as possible.

His political apparatus seems as though it will last long after Breitbart's death, I wish it were the other way around. I'd rather have him lived to see his political goals fail. I hope I live that long!

for the death and detruction of countless poor and disabled Americans. He spent the time he had on this planet hurting and destroying anyone that got in his way by desiminating lies and bigoted, paranoid conspiracys. He spent the last few years of his existence working hard to take medical care from the poor and supporting evil partisan attempts to deny food to poor children. He did all of these things with the full support and encouragement from his family and political friends. While he was busy hurting the poor and causing their death, he was bragging about it for the whole world to see.
He's dead now. The world is a better place because of his absence. The only way breitbart was going to stop personally attacking America and trying to destroy her was through his death. Why should good people be concerned about the feelings of people that supported a man that was actively destroying so many poor peoples' lives and families?
He's dead now, and much like the relatives of Joseph McCarthy, his loved ones should not expect to be protected from the facts of history and his love affair with evil.
