Queen Ann ' Let Them Eat Cake ' Romney: ' I Am Happy To BLAME THE MEDIA' For Mitt's Loss '

Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his wife Ann sat down with Fox News' Chris Wallace for their first interview since the 2012 election. The couple candidly discussed the campaign they ran and the disappointment they felt when they lost the election. When Wallace asked Ann why she thought her husband lost, she partially blamed the media. She also expressed her frustration that voters "didn't really get to know Mitt for who he was."

"I want to pick up on that," Wallace said. "There were reports that you and your oldest son Tagg were frustrated with the Romney campaign that they didn't 'let Mitt be Mitt.' That they didn't let him show his more open, compassionate side. True?"

"Well, of course ... but it was not just the campaign's fault. I believe it was the media's fault as well ... He was not being given a fair shake, that people weren't really allowed to see him for who he was," she said.

"Okay, what about the media?" Wallace pressed.

"I'm happy to blame the media," Ann said through laughs.

"Do you think the media was in the tank for Barack Obama?" Wallace asked.

"I think that any time you're running for office, you always think that you're being portrayed unfairly. Of course on our side, [we] believe there is more bias in favor of the other side," Ann said. "I think that's a pretty universally felt opinion."

1. Sure the media reported that Mitt was pro-choice, pro-gay, pretty much moderate

designed medical reform that became the basis for "Obamacare" and then veered to the extreme right. So, yes, the voters asked who the real Mitt is.

This is what the media is supposed to do.

3. First: Mitt is showing his racial prejudices.

i.e "poor people" liking entitlements.

Second: The lackluster economy was the only reason the election was as close as it was.
Romney was a second tier candidate (who ran an awful campaign).

Also, I just think the guy is completely out of touch with the real world, as well. He's like a wind-up toy that walks and talks. And Ann keeps talking about how we didn't get to know the "real" Mitt. Yet, she never even tells us what these unseen qualities are, that Mitt allegedly possesses.

These are very strange people.

5. Rmoney was given a pass by the media for hiding his $$ overseas, not producing his tax returns

Not clearing up how he voted in the MA election as a non-resident (who really believes he was living in his son's basement while that house was undergoing a housing renovation?!) and a whole host of other shit that would have plagued Obama if the shoe were on the other foot.

Even his religion was given a pass by the media (which could have gone either way for our side).

To say that the media was biased in favor of Obama is pure bullshit. They let the Rmoney's slide on a whole range of issues in order to prop up the "horse race" meme the media desired in order to keep public ratings up.

The Rmoneys, out of touch and going numb.

In a way, this is kinda sad.

11. HRH Queen Ann and son Tagg grabbed his floundering campaign and drove it right into the ground

Of course she's happy to blame the media. Anything other than accepting responsibility for their horribleness.

I do thank his actual campaign manager for managing to keep some of her shit off the air. Apparently, she wanted to show Mitt's "human" side by highlighting how he helped a friend's dying 16 year old write his will.

No effing joke. She is so craven, so desperate, that she wanted to use the untimely death of a 16 year old to boost Mitten's campaign.

Of course, when I first read about it I was, like, he helped a 16 year old decide what to do with his sports gear, his mp3 player, his cell phone, his video games, whatever? I mean really, what does a 16 year old have that requires a will?

And then I realized this wasn't any 16 year old. Obviously he was a 1% 16 year old with a mega-trust fund, who required Mitten's skills in evading inheritance taxes while handing his phenomenal wealth to somebody else.

What better way for Mitten's to connect with "you people" and show how he cares then portray him donating his time and financial expertise to help a dying teenager avoid inheritance taxes!

What a piece of work those people are...mind boggling, really.

And I really think Ann wanted to be first lady more than Mitt wanted to be president.

ignoring or minimizing his slip-ups, keeping mum about the Cayman Islands shelters and the lack of tax returns, ignoring his flip-flops, not calling him on his attempts to hijack the debates and generally acting like toadying lapdogs? The reason he got as many votes as he did - if the media were doing their jobs he'd be lucky to get a tenth of the voters he did.
