Charlie Crist will not rule out joining the Democratic Party.

Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (I) -- who left the Republican Party during his unsuccessful 2010 U.S. Senate bid -- told Chuck Todd that he'd consider voting for President Obama in November.

Said Crist: "Consider? Sure, I would consider that. I really think he's sincere and genuine. I think we have a lot time, a lot of issues to talk about, but I think, in his heart, he's trying to do what's right for the country overall."

Crist also said he wouldn't rule out running for office as a Democrat himself in the future.

compels you.

I always wondered about party changes. Usually, if you join a party, it's because they reflect your core values, no? I always viewed going Indy as being fed up and just flat out switching Red or Blue just changing your clothes. You're always going to be you, and the differences between Repub and Democrat are starkly different now more than ever.

He's wouldn't be the most progressive, but it sounds like he governed more like a Democrat than a Republican. Also, he, well, let's say he could never be out in the open about who he is and ever get elected again as a Republican.

He's just slowly migrating to where he really is. The republicans in Florida hated the guy.
