With an Ashley Judd Senate run increasingly looking like a possibility, Rep. John Yarmuth, D-Ky., says his colleague Sen. Mitch McConnell appears to be panicked, if the amount of effort put into discrediting her is any indication.
Yarmuth, pointed out that a Kentucky state poll puts the actress and McConnell in a dead heat.
Kentucky is currently roiling in the effects of sequestration, the congressman said, with one school already having to dismiss its special education teachers. Yarmuth added that the IRS just put out a notice that certain tax free bonds will have their interest credits reduced so that institutions that use these bonds have to pay more to service the debt.

(74 posts)People are so tired of business as usual and he has never been particularly popular in his own district where he doesn't spend much time at all. I think he will tipped on his back on this one. I can't wait!

(10,362 posts)She's going to need a good political team to help her explain these comments. I could see these affecting other races in the country if she defends them.

(12,041 posts)Granted they were blunt and I will be the first to admit they won't go over well with everyone, but that does not make them wrong. I know these comments will not help her campaign but that does not mean we should run from them, she was right and she deserves our support for speaking the truths that many are afraid to speak.
