Anybody else find the timing of the "economic recovery" just a little bit suspicious?

Lately there have been media reports about some jobs returning to the US, housing starts being up, working hours increasing, household income going up, etc. I wonder if the 1% is finally figuring out that the proles are tired of being squeezed like an animal in the coils of an anaconda and are ready to rebel. They really do seem to know just how hard to push.

1. Not suspicious at all. President Obama's greatness is what is causing it, as predicted

all the whiners are besides themselves, thinking (and in some cases) hoping it wasn't true so they can continue to keep the whine flowing.

So I am thinking... what exactly did Obama do? Or is it just mysticism?

8. Oz got Dorothy home, and the others the confidence to do what they always could do

After all, all of them needed a little gentle nudge to get them out of their perpetual funk and right the wrongs.

And the Wicked Witch(Cheney and Bush ) were no more.

and remember, the Joad family never whined. They preservered and went forward, a small step at a time.

And think of how much worse worldwide it could have been, had McCain/Palin won in 2008, and who knows now Palin might be president if a world still existed.
Being that mcCain said he would bomb bomb bomb Iran and why would anyone think he was lying when he said it? (instead of a comparatively small amound of deaths, it would have been tens of millions or more).

Confidence and optimism, is what Oz gave the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion.

Because sorry, there is no magic wand to make it all okay in a split second.

...That's way out there.

So are you out there spending all your money? Because spending is what drives this economy. Is Obama spending more?

because they didn't want to help obama. now that they have him for four years like it or not they will now go back to letting market forces and other politics drive their decisions.

and it is moving forward one area at a time.

All areas didnot go downtrend at the same time, so uptrends take a while to go cross country.

The hero worship of Obama is kinda weird - is he running for a third term?
Will we be punished for non-worship like the folks in North Korea who didn't cry at the funeral procession?
I thought we were at DU to elect Democrats, not praise the ones who won't be running again, really.
Anyhoo, me and my shadow (since I am evidently beside myself) agree that chained CPI and fiddling with health care to make it more expensive to the middle class and the poor will make it clear that this is not my party any more. There is no need to cut entitlements at all. That's a scam and a sell-out.
So - we shall see? This is cool because being wrong about a "grand bargain" means that social security and medicare and Medicaid won't be cut to please the Masters.

10. Have we all forgotten that Obama met with a group of super wealthy and powerful corporate CEOs

before meeting with any Congressional folks about a month ago? The results of that meeting led me to believe that some would be more helpful to economic situation than they had been. More of them should get in the game and our economy would be much better off than it would be with hoarding and off-shoring their money.

That recently I have been seeing, both on DU and elsewhere, of the type I hadn't been seeing so much before about strikes at places like Wal-Mart and McDonald's, of all places; stressed-out employees who are being pushed to the limit; employers leaving job vacancies unfilled for months or never filling them at all; and of course plenty of stories about outsourcing and the hoarding of money overseas by the rich. Or maybe I have just been hanging out on DU even more than I realized.
