How different would the country be if the Dems obstructed Reagan the way Pubs are Obama?
Yet, either out of fear, or stupidity, or propaganda, or a general willingness to compromise, the Dems of the 1980's had a hand in destroying this once great country for a generation. We're still cleaning up the mess of that asshat Reagan, and worse...we sent the message that capitulation will do nothing but embolden the most radical fringes of the right.
Imagine had they filibustered his dumb-ass 50% cut in the top marginal tax rate?
Imagine had the Dems only allowed 12% of his judicial appointments to get through?
Imagine if "labor" had staged a General Strike when Reagan fired the Air Traffic Controllers?
I'd like to think that a majority of the country would have appreciated a fighter! Instead, the Dems are still fighting the stigma of being "wishy-washy" weaklings, sacrificing all on the altar of "compromise".

Isn't it time, that when a couple of dozen T-Baggers start marching around the Washington State capital with assault weapons, a couple thousand sane citizens surround them and make them uncomfortable.
Fuck these people! They need to be defeated! Paul Ryan needs to know that when he introduces a Ayn Randian fantasy budget like he just did, that there are people standing by with tar and feathers...and in my world...tar and feathers would be tax-deductible!
