one covered up the rape of children by adults ( and may still be doing so) and the other covered up the rape of adults by adults ( and hasn't shown evidence that's changed). The problem in the Church was never about celibacy, but about unchecked power. The same applies to the military. Being brainwashed to obey authority and to protect the institution is what sets the stage for abusers to run free.
