A man claiming to be a Department of Defense agent allegedly pulled over a car with an Ontario, Canada license plate because he felt the driver must be a terrorist since the vehicle had a foreign license plate.

According to Pasco County Sheriff's spokesperson Kevin Doll, Joseph Tarochione, 73, of Homosassa, forced the driver of the the car to pull over into the Calendar Girls Strip Club parking lot on US-19 in Hudson because he wanted the have the car checked for bombs

Deputies said Tarochione called 911 around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, stated he work for the DOD special forces unit, couldn't tell his name because it was classified and he needed a deputy to search the car for the bombs he felt were in the vehicle.

...

When the deputy arrived, he found a .22 Magnum handgun, a .22 long rifle revolver, a 16-gauge shotgun and ammunition in Tarochione's possession.

same reaction!

What a paranoid maroon. And how embarassing for us as a nation. Had I been the Canadian driver, I not only would NOT have pulled over, but I would have called 911 claiming harassment and attempted abduction as well as to report a missing brain. I wonder why the driver even bothered pulling over for the idiot.

And he's a State Dept. "special ops" operative like I'm Johnny Depp's girlfriend. Sheesh.

your are right, but since 9-11 things have gone so bat shit on both sides of the border, so much that I won't travel anymore. Sad, because it used to be so casual. On another note, wonder what Florida would do without the substantial, retired snow-birds dollars??

"Joseph Tarochione became suspicious when he saw the car's driver driving erratically and nearly striking two cars and a pedestrian. His suspicion grew when he saw the Ontario license plate.

"A guy from out of the country has no business driving and terrorizing people the way he did it," Tarochione said."
