Sometimes I have to pinch myself to still believe it is true.

And I still get so much joy just saying these words: President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

Not a small thing, people. Thanks to all who worked and helped make it happen.

America is in very good hands and that bodes well for the world. Peace.

Any election he would be in he'd win in a landslide.
It boggles our minds how it could even be close down there.

We are jealous.. .especially since we have a Dubya wanna-be Con as our PM because of a split moderate-left vote.

I am sorry you have a Commander Bunny Pants right now. They are the worst leaders ever. I am just thankful enough of us voted him back into office and not Mitt Ritt Downsizer. We dodged a bullet with that one, I think he would have given GWB a run for the 'how fast can I destroy the country' award.

We lucked out, again. I hope we can hold on the WH for a long time.

Does Canada have the option of a vote of No Confidence like the UK does?

I'm glad we worked so hard to get him re-elected. We can be proud that he is our President. We can also respond to his call to "make him" work for the changes we want by taking to the streets, as well as monetary support. And our Country needs "The People" to do this.

An amazing human being, who will one day be recognized for the greatness he brought at a time when this country needed his leadership.

I think we can all agree that part of what makes him great is that amazing, beautiful wife and those amazing young ladies he's so lucky to call his.

I don't give a damn if they are a good-looking, cute couple. They are. They indeed are.

Their skin glows with health and they surely love each other.

But... I don't give a damn about that in a president and a politician.

And I don't understand why anyone thinks that matters.

Someone who can invoke the kind of love, admiration and pride we see from them, is a very special human being.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to get a teenager and/or tween to genuinely LIKE an adult, and show pride and admiration for them in public?

I have a 17 yr. old who is giving me those looks today. But, I signed a note to buy her a car she fell in love with. Give her a few days, and outwardly, at least, I'll become the enemy again. LOL!

Should good looking people never hear about it? It's not going to happen. So may as well not rain on this parade. I note you agree, and you could have kept it at that.

in the white house. I'm 40 and I think this is the first time I've ever seen such sincere and honest affection between a flotus and a potus. In fact to some extent it has seemed to be some sort of taboo while in the white house. You can tell just by looking at their body language that it's the real thing. It warms my heart on several levels.

Shame on the level of disrespect the right wing has stooped to in order to paint our commander in chief in the worst possible light, especially FOX news. Love conquers hate! and we've proved that in the last two elections. We don't all have to agree with everything, and it's hard to see the Democratic party pulled so far right as it's been, but still ultimate respect, subservience and loyalty to our commander in chief!
We will not forget this time in history, ever.
