For those who pay attention, this should come as no surprise, but rather a what took so long response. Yes, America is on to the GOP. The Republican Partys ratings now stand at a 20-year low.
Andrew Kohut, founding director and former president of the Pew Research Center and president of the Gallup Organization from 1979 to 1989, is a polling expert, so when he writes a column titled The numbers prove it: The GOP is estranged from America, it means something.
Writing in the Washington Post, Kohut compares the radical image problem of todays GOP with that of the Democratic Party of the 1960s and early 1970s.

(55,981 posts)pocket picked. We still have the Patriot Act, domestic spying, and indefinite detention. We have millions being spent on Guantanamo. We have Democrats looking at "fixing" SS and Medicare. We have millions out of work, losing homes, losing retirements, living in poverty.
Our enemy is not the Republican Party. If they die our problems are not solved. That's too easy and you should be suspicious. The oligarchs are not stupid and put all their eggs in the Repub basket.
