Being an older person I do have problems opening tops of plastic bottles of any size.

I use a pair of plyers. Works every time.

That breaks the seal enough that the lid comes off easily. Another trick is to use a "church key" to pry up the edge of the lid just enough to break the seal.
Duck tape hadn't occurred to me as being useful. I thought I knew all the tricks.

Just tap the side of the lid on the edge of a counter, rotate a bit, tap again, rotate+repeat one more time and you're golden. Lid will twist off with ease.

its has a rubber strap and a serated plastic handle to push against the lid. Most used thing I've ever bought at a flea market too.
