Like father, like daughter;"You can be sure that President Obama would welcome an America in which the Republican Party is preoccupied with remaking itself into a watered-down version of the Democrat," she wrote.
After ticking off a number of the president's policies that she considers destructive"Obama is the most radical man ever to occupy the Oval Office"Cheney urged her fellow Republicans to fight back strong.
"Now is the time to pick ourselves up, brush ourselves off, and man the barricades for freedom," she said.
Yeah, you go with that Liz.

(18,470 posts)I wish to Christ the President would realize that people like Rush Limpdick, Dildo O'Reily, and ol' Slanthead Hannity are going to call him a leftist and socialist no matter what he does, so he might as well go ahead and do the right thing.

Of course, those of us who have been paying attention, understand how big a dumbass you are...

(3,596 posts)that Reince Preibus embraces Liz Cheney and thrusts her into the public limelight as the shining future of the party.
As a gay man I have no problem with her sexual orientation or her choice to marry her partner and raise children together. The only good thing I can say about Darth Cheney is he supports his daughter's right to live her life equitably with other Americans. That is as far as I will go and chastise him for riding and promoting the 2004 hate campaign against the LGBT community in the states to secure a second term.
But let's just let Liz become a spokesperson for the GOP. Her father single-handedly wrote an energy policy with his buddies in the industry that stifled investment in renewables and doubled-down on gas, oil and coal. Her daddy pressured the CIA in the run-up to the Iraq War. Her father lied us into a war that cost over 4K American lives, probably hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives and cost the U.S. a trillion dollars all of which was not funded because he and W wanted to give their rich buddies even more of the loot.
Her daddy shot his friend in the face. Her daddy was certainly involved in the outing of Valerie Plame. We could go on and on.
I really hope the GOP prances her out in 2014 and 2016. This only bodes well for the Democrats.

Liz Cheney is, I think, the one who accused President Obama of abandoning support for key allies like Israel, Poland, and, wait for it ... Czechoslovakia. Bit difficult to support a country that hasn't existed for 20 years! And this is someone who was employed by the State Department under Bush. It just shows that too often, as the saying goes, 'it's not what you know; it's who you know'.

(11,879 posts)Even when the grammar is so convoluted as to strain comprehension, she cannot call us the Democratic Party.
Also Obama is no Andrew Jackson; heck, he's not even as radical as Ronald Reagan.

We would like to see the Republican Party totally diminished, nothing but a bad memory never to be seen again.

(12,530 posts)The high profile daughter of the Vice President (who functioned more like the President, or better yet, a despot) is being laughed at. She's not being taken as a serious person. And people feel the same way about her old man. So not only is she helping to cleave the GOP (from the side that will inevitably lose, by the way), she's also seen as a laughingstock. Keep talking, Liz. Man those barricades.
