Hunger grows for President Hillary

Plans by a team of admirers for a run in 2016 are gathering pace as a top fundraiser lends his support, says Toby Harnden in Washington

A TOP Democratic fundraiser and confidant of Bill and Hillary Clinton for more than two decades is advising a new group laying the foundations for a possible 2016 presidential bid by the former secretary of state.

Harold Ickes, a Clinton loyalist renowned for his ability to solicit tens of millions of dollars from a vast network of Democratic donors, is assisting the “Ready for Hillary” independent political action committee, or super-Pac.

He told The Sunday Times that he had held conversations with wealthy Clinton donors that have been “totally informal and have no direct relationship with Mrs Clinton” or her husband.

“These are people I know who have told me over the years that they and a lot of other people want her to run. They don’t have any idea what she’s going to do, but if she runs they want to be ready to give whatever assistance they can.”

I wouldn't mind seeing Warren on a presidential ticket. But, not yet. Don't you think she would need to stay in office a bit, get some exposure and some good bills passed, first. As for Dean, I think he's much better behind the scenes. He seems better at calculating and managing. I also don't think he'd want a 2nd spot to anyone.

How about Clinton/Warren?

Worked out great for me and many other self-employed who don't have a big corporation giving the workers cheap insurance that isn't even taxable nor part of their salary

Those sole proprioters and self employed with families have to pay out of their salary and or bank account

So rail against the corporation but if one is self-employed, they would love to have the corporation give cheap price monthly insurance, even if it goes up some, its a lot cheaper than $1500 a month, though thanks to President Obama, its not last years $3100 a month.

She came to Iowa expecting to be sworn in before primary had begun. Entitled doesn't play well here. People were sick of her before she got here and the campaign she ran afterward didn't exactly crown her with glory. I still have some resentments of her for some of the downright divisive viciousness she allowed in her name during that campaign. And she hired that piggish Republican, Mark Penn, to make her case for her daily. Hillary needs to get out there and ask people to vote for her rather than resting on laurels and the warm fuzzy glow cast about her by admirers.

Those were the most prosperous years for my constantly struggling father.

President Clinton ran himself ragged helping to keep Mitt out of the White House.

The Clintons have given their heart and souls to their country, earning this promotion.

And in 2016, I will be proud to help send them back to the White House.

Probably the best option we have for slowing down the economic predators.

She'll do what her husband did. She'll continue in the basic direction Barack Obama is trying to move us. The predators want to take all of it in one day. She'll talk them into spreading the theft out over 30 years.

Like not allowing the rape of Social Security and Medicare. Like standing up to Wall Street and corporate thieves. Like ending the government's attacks on the privacy of its citizens.

If she runs in 2016, I'll probably vote for her as the lesser of two evils. Sort of like I did for Obama last year. But 2016 is a long time away and I can still hope that a real Democrat will want the job.

The never ending non stop Presidential campaigning gets really old.

For now let Hillary relax and enjoy some down time ...... I imagine that spring
in the Hudson River Valley will be very nice ...... If Hillary wants to sit outside
on nice lounge chair w/a book, the sunday papers, some tea, and something that
she likes to eat I am all for that. Or if she wants to do shots and dance I am fine
w/that 2. (I speak Palin)

Leave Hillary lone. She hasn't been off the job for 2 months now.

It really is funny how so many "Hillary is destiny" threads occur when Obama, aka the third Clinton term, is tanking. Why the Hell would people want another Clinton term when the Third Way?DLC/Path the Clitons invented is sinking like the Titanic? Oh, let me guess, Hillary will suddenly become the anti-Obama, even though he hired Cliton stooges like Tim Geitner for domestic policy, and put Cliton herself in charge of the foriegn policy that is still charging towards the war with iran, the one AIPAC has had on back order for years! The one that actually got into war with Libya, to see it replaced with the same jihad types that we supposedly should be afarid of.

and since the inevitable attack will come out, yes, Hillary is a woman; so are many people who suffered from the Cliton poilicies. I think the rights of some woman whose job got outsourced, or some woman in Iran trying to keep from being blown to bits, will outweigh the rights of a rich woman who will be weall taken care of for the rest of her life, and the same damn thing goes for the SOB that I voted for back in 2008, who was supposed to move away from Cliton Policy, and instead became the Clinton third and fourth term.

They can enjoy being honorary white males as far as I am concerned, it will make it fun when the Koches and company turn around and say "Y'all have served us well Hillary and Barry, but now it is time to go back to being slaves."
