Police, check. Military, check. Government, check. MAIG members until they give alcohol to a 20 year old, threaten them at gun point and shoot up the place (like that would happen ), check. Bodyguards, nope not on the list.

Perhaps this is why Bloomie wants police protection for life, he plans on disarming his paid bodyguards so he needs government paid protection.

The idea of completely and utterly and selectively disarming all citizens is the most stupid thing to come down the pike since the New Pearl Harbor, or PNAC.

Worse, actually.

a rethinking means that house guns would be needed to go too, after the streets are swept clean like in the wild wild west when Sheriff law actually made the streets safe.

Though first the street, it's easier to monitor. But what stops someone in a house from shooting into the street.

Sorry, but bullets would all need to go because it makes it too easy to kill.

A disfunctional gun that don't shoot can be hung on the walls

Wouldn't someone who owns a big ranch, let's say, like the comfort of knowing there are zero firearms in the vicinity so they have nothing to worry about?

after all, a gun in the hands of a private person, never saved anyone anyhow from any of the normal NRA soundbyte boogiemen.

will we adopt old west justice techniques as well; a fair trial before the hanging? Unless everyone present knows the accused is guilty so there is no need to bother the judge...

With 201? reinterpretation, then the 201? law will deal with the whatifs after that.
NO vigilante justice.

We have evolved from the wild wild west the tea party would like to go back to, however,
they seemed to not know the actuality of it legally, just the movie version soundbyte.

No need for vigilante justice- the Earps and Doc Holiday were all duly deputized, they and Jack McCall were all acquitted though McCall was a private citizen...
edit--> McCall was acquitted in his first trial but didn't fair as well in the second.

If Zimmerman were packing a ping pong ball, Mr. Martin would still be alive.
Zimmerman was the crossing the line in the sand moment.
If the NRA had its way, 320 million zimmermans would be there.

Better just to grab all private guns, then monitor for anyone who is in the street with one.
Bullet sniffing dogs or cats.

100% of all private ciitzens with gun crime can be prevented in the streets or accessed from the streets.

Vast majority of street crimnals will voluntarily sell them in during say a 21 day amnesty buy back.(I would be 95%).

30. You Gotta Believe- Tug McGraw, 1973 NY Mets.
Wed Apr 10, 2013, 03:10 AM
Apr 2013

I remember a NYC joke-
Back in 1973 Tug McGraw said "You Gotta Believe" (and I did.)The NY Mets had one of the biggest come from behind upsets ever.

Years later, Tug was talking to his son, (liberal)Country Singer Tim McGraw and
Tug again said "You gotta believe"
and Tim said to Tug, "Well Dad, I have Faith".
Rest in peace Tug.
It's gonna be a long time before I believe in the Mets thanks to Bernie Madoff screwing the Mets owners.

as to the subject matter,
Should guns be banned from private citizens?
Damn right I gotta believe the 2nd will one day be reinterpreted as it has been so many times before, this time without the 5 bad ones, the true interpretation will happen.
Sometimes Sequels can be better than the original. Happens only once in a Blue Moon, but it does happen. It will with the 2nd.
After all, what was Heller but a reinterpretation.

So, you gotta believe. I do.

Once the 2nd is reinterpreted after HRC takes office, perhaps, in such a stroke of irony,
when President Obama is nominated for the US SUpreme Court and he replaces a retiring
Scalia or Thomas, and writes the majority ruling, then everything and anything will be possible for a civilized society.
Because, well, it goes without saying

A private citizen under the 2nd today could claim they need a shoulder to air missile, and then what? Should everyone have their own bunker busting bombs?

You gotta believe, they can't and a new court will rule without parsing just what the 2nd means.

Then one can classify the NRA as a terror org.(actually under the war on terrror, I don't see why that couldn't happen already) and have their assets frozen.
After which anyone who donates to a terror org., well, one cannot donate to a terror org, can they?
No funds, no salary for Wayne.
Do you think he will work for free? Nobody works for free.

Reinterpret and out.

BTW, don't forget to watch the season finale of "The Good Wife" (a tv show that tapes in NYC and puts 100s and 100s of union workers to work.)
Mike Bloomberg is playing himself on the episode of the show, which is an hour long show, starring Julianne Marguiles and Josh Charles and wellness is the word of the day.
