phrases thought up by Right Wingers and the Third Way (is there a difference btw) for Democrats, that should be viewed as a very good thing. No more guessing as to who is pretending to be a Dem. It often explains why you might have felt that certain people never seemed to be actual Democrats to you.

We should really start a thread some day listing all these stupid phrases, such as 'Concern Troll' 'Professional Left' etc. all phrases and words invented, ironically by Professional Political Operatives. I actually had the misfortune to get to know some of these idiots when I first started out on political blogs. I assure you, you don't want to know these people, they are not just stupid, they are nasty. They are paid 'professionals' and they populated liberal blogs starting back in the early Bush years. Everyone who encountered them knew there was something wrong. I don't know what they were being paid for because all the did was to alienate everyone they met and never changed a single mind, well actually, they probably turned a lot of people OFF what they were trying to sell.

Stupid and nasty as these morons were, what is even worse is that a number of people adapted their ridiculous words apparently thinking it makes them sound smart or something.

I like it when I see someone resort to the use of these words because it makes it easier for me to recignize who I am dealing with and saves a lot of effort and time trying to talk to them.

I also know I am on the right side of an issue when someone using these ridiculous, childish phrases to attack 'the left' emerges from the shadows.

The standards are low though. To succeed it is necessary to update material, using old material identifies them for one thing, and it's stale, musty, like an old, empty neglected house.

If I were to spend my time thinking up ways to attack a political group, I sure wouldn't be using old, jaded phrases that were paid for long ago but used so often to no avail they are like an old, rag that was never very useful in the first place.

But then, I wouldn't be doing that because I can defend my views. These old tactics are generally intended to provide people with material to use when certain policies are indefensible and to try to defend them would useless. It's an interesting phenomenon, I first noticed it about 12 years ago on a political blog when I thought all the Right Wingers were one person because they all used the same words and phrases to attack Democrats with. It was amazing and then someone explained to me they were using packaged language delivered to them by Rush et al, or in newsletters etc.

When the 'left' counterparts, using almost the exact same words and phrases to attack the Left, began to emerge around 2003 it was obvious they had decided to emulate the right wing because as one of them said 'it works'. Works? Lol, we mostly laughed at them. Maybe that was the result they wanted, to be laughed at, in which case I suppose they were right.

really aware of the tactics all it did was to alienate people even more. Now that everyone knows, how that the words and phrases are so worn out, it has zero effect at all, other than it's probably good for a laugh to see people actually think they are impressing anyone. What is most glaring about this is that they cannot defend what they are trying so hard to defend.

I think we should have a list of these phrases and words somewhere so that anyone new to this recognizes them when they see them and don't waste any time scratching their heads wondering why any 'democrat' would be defending things no dem should be defending.

Wed Apr 10, 2013, 04:03 AM
Apr 2013

I believe it was posted by someone who believes in the Presidents' virtue to the point of idolatry.
When Bernie Sanders first started warning about chained cpi, I was a firm believer that the Democrats were free from the 1% money machine. Now that I have started watching the EU, the central banks as well as American current events, I am starting to wonder if we really ever had a Democracy at all. Anyways, I no longer think of the Party as a sacred cow.

Some, however, do not want to hear any dissent. They do not like finding themselves in the role of an apologist for the man they think of as unimpeachable. They will even go so far as to tell you that the cut isn't a cut. Gee, I hope the GOP doesn't read that. "hey, you offered me a cut that wasn't a cut! "
The real problem here is that it should be easy to do the right thing and raise the cap on ss and cut military spending. But we are ruled by the Rich. Because of them, millions suffer every day. Because of them, we will one day sow the seeds of our own extinction.
All because we have not evolved much, politically.
We still are ruled by Lords and Ladies, but they no longer have to do the dirty work. They can buy politicians and remain anonymous.

Oops, gotta go back to work....

Considering where all the money had and his buddy Ron Paul have obtained in campaign finance dollars and considering Ralph hasn't actually worked a day job in how many decades now...
and in these harsh economic times

Ralph is the 1/2 of 1% in his own asset accounts.

Isn't America wonderful?

One can rail on negatively for 40 years about this and that, and live like, well, actually BE a millionaire in the good old USA (cue in the old Chevy commercial from the 1970s).

Laughing all the way to the bank, the old $$$Ralph$$$Nader$$$way.

Ralph, we hardly knew ye.
It's easier to take a dive and stay down than to contribute.

Ralph, and Ron sitting in a tree
$$$$$$$
First came Ralph
Then came Ron
Then came millions in their garbage can

What a cottage industry it is.

cue in Brewer and Shipley's One toke over the Line for a little background music

or to unfortunately paraphrase Kermit
It is easy being Green. Green Money that is. Green is the color of both Ron and Ralph's assets.

Some play to win
Some play to lose
Ralph and Ron got the $$$$$ to prove
(with apologies to Danny O'keefe).

I have asked you this before and was met with silence. According to the mandatory fiscal disclosure report that he filed with the Federal Election Commission in 2000, Nader said he owned no car and owned no real estate directly in 2000, and said that he lived on US $25,000 a year, giving most of his stock earnings to many of the over four dozen non-profit organizations he had founded.

Hmmm. Founded four dozen non-profit organizations. I would say that is four dozen more that you have.
