We had an earthquake this morning. It was a 6. We NEVER have earthquakes here in this part of Japan.

It woke me at 5:30 AM with a sudden shock. The first thing I thought was "missile".

As an American that grew up when the Cold War felt hot, some traumas never entirely leave. Nuclear missiles is one of them.
