"Jesus Loves Everybody. You Should Have Expected Us." Westboro FB page "brandjacked" by Anonymous.

George Takei: "After the Westboro 'Baptist Church' said it would picket the funerals of those killed at the Boston Marathon (and blamed same-sex marriage for the attacks), Anonymous 'brandjacked' their FB page, with epic results, seen here."

He tells her his name is Data (with a long 'a' sound).

She replies, "Data, Data, what's the difference?"

Data responds, "One is my name & one is not."

I think Gates McFadden needed to kick it up a notch and when she returned, she did just that. Some of the best later episodes revolved around her character quite successfully.

I will be far less enthusiastic if they ever come for me, of course, but so far I haven't attracted anyone's interest.

This is absolutely perfect, Roddenberry's ideal of complete diversity posted on a stone bigot's page.

I was expecting it to be more of a joke. More like an observation, I guess. Still cool, but I was thrown off a bit.

I thought there was more to "You should have expected us."

In the Christian Bible, Matthew 22::34-40, Jesus ben Joseph, commonly known as Jesus Christ, allegedly states what is commonly known among persons familiar with the subject as The Greatest Commandment:

34Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’c 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’d 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Anonymous, understanding the true essence of genuine Christian doctrine, and recognizing the hypocrisy of the anti-LGBT/anti-human/race elitist doctrine of hatred espoused by the misanthropic, christianist Westboro Baptist Church, has hacked into the Westboro Baptist Church site and posted a cynical, ironic graphic there, in order to point out to the Westboro Baptist Church leaders and followers the blatant hypocrisy of their pretending to espouse the Doctrine of Love, while spreading only raw hatred and bigotry every moment of their existence.

The graphic contains these statements: The top statement, Jesus Loves Everybody, means that Jesus Christ as a living divine entity, loves everybody.

The bottom statement, You Should Have Expected Us, refers to an Anonymous credo:

We are Anonymous. We are Legion. Expect Us.

Anonymous is telling the Westboro Baptist Church that they are lying sack of shit whitewashed wall phony pseudo christian hypocritical bigots, and that they should have expected Anonymous to attack them for continuing to spread hatred and bigotry.

Also, by using the images of some of the diverse characters from the Star Trek: The Next Generation Cast, Anonymous was making a statement about diversity, how we humans can be different, yet still love each other despite these differences, and go forward to work together to create a better world for all of us, leaving the ways of hatred and bigotry behind us as we evolve our own future.

That's the best I can do for now. It was not really meant as a joke. It's actually instructional, and as serious as it gets.

I hope this explanation is clear to you, and helps you to understand the nature of the graphic, and gives you something pleasant to ponder.

Have a lovely day!!!

I honestly was just thrown off by the ST:TNG reference. And I wasn't familiar with the Anonymous credo.

I thought it was a joke given the apparent randomness of the image.

Similar in essential nature to Occupy, but generally, though not exclusively, using different methods to work toward global justice and equality.

If what we see on public view is any indication, what they do in private would truly frighten people.
